
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Quick Info
- All participants must be able to swim.
- All rentals must be OFF the river by 5/6pm.
- Min age: 6 yrs (canoes, kayaks, tubes); 3 yrs (rafts).
- Overnights are first come first serve, designated areas only.
- For overnight camping: additional campsite reservations through recreation.gov
- Non-Profit Group rates available. Call for details.

Pets
Pets are allowed on canoes and kayaks only. Must be leashed (6 ft max). Please be courteous of other passengers' allergies, and rinse your pet before returning to base.
Water Levels
Always deep enough to tube, kayak, canoe, or raft. Maintained by the Delaware River Master (USGS) with a minimum flow rate of 1,750 cubic feet per second.
Rapids
Kittatinny to Portland — mostly calm, 2 sets of class 1 rapids.
Smithfield to Kittatinny — 1 small section near the end.
Bushkill to Smithfield — 3 sections of class 1 rapids in the middle.
Landmarks & Exit Points
Smithfield Beach
Look for beach access area past boat ramp and swimming area near circular driveway.
Water Gap
1/4 to 1/2 mile past the Rt. 80 bridge on the left, look for beach area.
Portland
Directly underneath the Portland Pedestrian Bridge (green walking bridge) on the right side.
